Terms of Service
In plain English: use Clokk for what it's built for, pay your subscription on time, don't abuse the service or the people on it, and we'll keep the platform running and your data safe.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms form an agreement between you (the business subscribing to Clokk) and Clokk. They apply whenever you or your staff use our app or website.
By creating a workspace or using Clokk, you confirm you have authority to agree to these terms on behalf of your business.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone has accessed your workspace without permission.
You must be at least 16 years old to sign in to Clokk. Admins are responsible for ensuring every staff member they invite meets this requirement.
3. Subscription & billing
Clokk is offered on monthly or annual subscription plans. The current plans and prices are listed on our pricing page. Prices are in Australian Dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.
- Billing cycle: monthly plans are billed on the same day each month; annual plans are billed up front.
- Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle until you cancel.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, we'll email you and give seven days to update your card before suspending access.
- Price changes: we can change prices with at least 30 days' notice. New prices take effect on your next renewal.
4. Free trials
We sometimes offer free trials. No payment details are charged during the trial period. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends without being billed.
5. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel your subscription any time from your workspace settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — you keep access until then.
We don't offer refunds for partial months. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable once the billing cycle has started, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Your data is yours
You own all the rostering data you put into Clokk (employees, shifts, availability, notes). We only use it to provide the service to you. You can export your data or request deletion at any time.
For more detail on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Clokk to break any law or infringe anyone's rights
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harass staff through the platform
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass our security
- Use the service to impersonate another person or business
- Share sign-in credentials between multiple people — each staff member needs their own account
We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules. If we do, we'll explain why and give you a chance to export your data first where practical.
8. Availability & support
We aim for 99.5% uptime but can't guarantee the service will always be available. We may take the service down briefly for maintenance, usually with notice.
Email support is included on every paid plan. Business and Enterprise plans include faster response times as described on our pricing page.
9. Liability
Clokk is a tool to help you run your rostering. You remain responsible for all employment decisions, compliance with award rates and industrial law, and the shift arrangements you make with staff.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss arising from your use of Clokk is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll email workspace admins at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Clokk after that means you accept the update.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Queensland.
